Sign up for an introduction to the new search interface

The first part of the new user interface for ICSD is ready!

The current ICSD interface has been in use for more than 15 years now and has gradually reached the point where it is difficult to incorporate new features. In addition, the interface is very cluttered, which limits its use on mobile devices. And last but not least, the interface was developed without taking accessibility into account, which is why it is now nearly impossible to include accessibility features.

That is why we have decided to redesign the interface to include all existing features, enable use on mobile devices, and ensure accessibility.

The redesign of the user interface was divided into three parts: search forms, list view, and detail view.

The first part of the redesign—namely, the ICSD search forms—is now available and can be tested.

Until the list view and the detailed view are completed, we will offer both fully functional versions simultaneously.

We would be happy to introduce you to the new search interface during a training session held off-site and show you how to get the most out of it.

If you are interested, please send us an email at icsd [at] fiz-karlsruhe.de (icsd[at]fiz-karlsruhe[dot]de). You will receive the access information (zoom link) via email shortly before the event.
